Being "salarié" means that you work for a company for a monthly salary. Salaries in France are always calculated on a monthly basis. You do not have the right to invoice someone else for your services. Your employer pays your social charges and you are entitled to numerous legal benefits It is difficult for a non-EU person to obtain this status unless you are being sought by a company who offers you a work contract with a salary of at least 22000 F per month, or unless you already possess a 10-year carte de séjour or carte de résident with the right to work.
