Similar to the 11e; up and coming around Bercy, the former wine village, and Gare de Lyon, areas that were rather run-down and depressed. Not the most beautiful district, but you may find more space for less francs here than elsewhere. New construction tends to be hideous although the new Bercy business park flanking the Seine offers some of the most expensive and highly sought commercial properties in Europe. The new American Center is located next to the Bercy Palais Omnisport.
